Young boaters race their homemade crafts in Anything Floats race at Monson Summerfest

SUMMERFEST BOAT RACE — The Anything Floats race returned as part of Monson Summerfest on Saturday, July 17, with competitors racing their homemade crafts from the boat launch across the Lake Hebron cove to the Lakeshore House dock. The “Half A Float Canoe,” left, won in the race between it and the “Cardboard Cruiser.” The “Half a Float Canoe” also earned Best in Show honors while the “Cardboard Cruiser” earned Most Creative recognition.
