Monson Historical Society author talk

MONSON — The Monson Historical Society is pleased to announce we will have as a guest speaker Tim Caverly on Saturday, July 17 at 11 a.m. as part of the town’s Summerfest events.

Caverly will be at the Moore Building on Main Street, which is almost directly across from the Historical Society Museum. He is a noted Maine author, publishing 10 books about Maine. He is retired as the regional park supervisor of the Allagash Wilderness Waterway for Maine’s Dept. of Conservation and also worked for 32 years at the Sebago Lake State Park.

Caverly has had many articles and short stories published in newspapers, magazines and outdoor journals and is also a monthly columnist for the Maine Sportsman newspaper. Having grown up with Park Ranger “Buzz” Caverly, son Tim has lived in all four corners of Maine and his stories are based on personal experiences and knowledge of our State’s history. Please plan to join us on July 17 for an opportunity to meet this very interesting and talented speaker.
