Pedestrian killed in D-F
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Early on Saturday, June 12 Dover-Foxcroft Police responded to a reported motor vehicle vs. pedestrian accident. According to a post on the department Facebook page, 54-year-old Dave Leighton of Dexter was struck in the roadway by a passing vehicle. Leighton was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This crash remains under investigation. The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office and the Maine State Police assisted in the crash reconstruction.
