Why RSU 68 board candidate Robinson is running

To the Editor;

I am running for an RSU 68 board position and ask for your vote on Tuesday, June 8.  My desire to work with the board is to assure that students obtain a quality education at a price the taxpayers of Dover Foxcroft can afford. I believe in two core values; building relationships based on respect and holding people accountable for their performance. To meet these goals, I will work to accomplish the following:

Establish open board meetings with respect to input from parents and/or taxpayers concerning pending issues of the RSU 68 school system.

Expect a strong working relationship between RSU 68 administration, teachers and parents as all three entities are key to positive student academic performance.

Provide structure and guardrails to help students with future decision-making opportunities.

Implement controls to assure sound financial decisions.

Build performance and benchmarking goals based on the measurements of cost per unit comparisons: overhead expense per student, teaching expense per student, facility maintenance expense per Sq. Ft., etc.

Ensure that the taxpayers’ best interests are considered during contract renewal between Foxcroft Academy and RSU 68 in 2023.

Should I receive enough votes to become a board member, I will work diligently to represent your interests as parents and taxpayers. I am not on social media, but am open to any discussions over the phone (207-322-8993) or face to face.
