Webber wins javelin, Sipple scores majority of PCHS girls points

The Dexter Regional High School and Piscataquis Community High School track teams were in action in a May 15 PVC meet at Hampden Academy. 

The Dexter boys scored 48 points, placing fifth of five teams.

Issac Webber had the day’s top performance in the javelin with a throw of 150-02, winning by nearly seven feet.

Avery Gagnon came in second in the long jump and triple jumps at respective distances of 17-10.50 and 38-02.50. He also was third in the 100 at 12.56 seconds.

Gage Sinclair finished fourth in both the discus and javelin with throws of 92-10 and 115-01 respectively.

Cameron Allen was fourth in the triple jump at 31-03.50, and Miles Gadwah came in fourth in the 110 hurdles in a time of 23.27 seconds.

In the girls’ meet, PCHS picked up 25 points to place fourth among five teams.

Molly Sipple scored 18 of her team’s points. She came in third in the 100 at 13.58 seconds and was fourth in the 200 at 29.42 seconds. Sipple finished fourth in the 400 at 1:08.96 and fourth in the discus with a throw of 81-07.

Kendall Kimball placed third in the javelin at a distance of 79-04. 

Ariana Fanjoy added a sixth-place performance in the 400 at 1:13.02.

Dexter came in fifth at Hampden with one point. Elyssa Jerome’s throw of 23-11.75 in the shot put placed her sixth.
