Foxcroft Academy track competes in Caribou

The Foxcroft Academy track team traveled north to Caribou High School for a May 15 PVC meet.

The Ponies had three second-place finishes. Bodie Clark came in second in the 200 in a time of 25.09 seconds, Jacob Reed had the runner-up height in the high jump at 5-06 and Kemsley Marsters was second in the javelin at 133-02.

Jesse Drury finished third in the 100 in 11.82 seconds, Marsters was fifth at 12.14 seconds. Drury also was fifth in the long jump at 17-10 and fifth in the javelin at 122-03.

Other point-scorers for Foxcroft were Jackson Smith, fourth in the 200 at 25.53 seconds; Reed, fourth in the triple jump at 33-09.50; and Marsters, fifth in the shot put at 38-08.

The Foxcroft girls scored eight points to place eighth among a field of eight teams.

The Pony 4×100 relay was third among point-scoring entrants as Emma Ladd, Grace Carlson, Cadence Herrick and Kasey Howell combined for a time of 59.07 seconds.

Anna Raynes finished fourth in the 800 in 2:44.85, and Lorane Grant came in sixth at 2:52.27.

Howell was sixth in the 200 in 30.71 seconds and Grant was sixth in the long jump at 12-08.
