Center Theatre is an asset

Note: This letter has been sent to Piscataquis County Manager Michael Williams to distribute to the county commissioners.

To the Editor;

The question of the day in the County is the definition of an asset — specifically as it pertains to the Center Theatre. Hopefully these questions and the provided answers will help.

Q. Given the fact that not all County residents are gun owners is a gunsmith an asset?

A. Any service that meets a legitimate community need and desire is, of course, an asset.

Q. Given the fact that all County residents are responsible for their own waste management is a firm that provides such an asset?

A. Any service that meets a legitimate community need and desire is, of course, an asset.

Q. Are government agencies that service specific populations and not the whole an asset?

A. Any service that meets a legitimate community need and desire is, of course, an asset.

I think if you all pose a similar question to the Center Theatre’s request you will easily find that it meets a legitimate community need and desire is, of course, an asset.

Your endorsement is requested.
