Thank you D-F Transfer Station employees

To the Editor;

I recently wrote a Facebook post about this topic, and many were in agreement, so I thought I’d spread the message to the wider community. I wanted to call attention to the fact that the Dover-Foxcroft Transfer Station personnel were some of the kindest, most helpful people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting in local government services. They are always courteous, friendly, and go the extra mile to help everyone that comes to them.

Of all the tasks that people face, bringing recyclables and trash to the town dump is not the most pleasant. It sure helps that everyone who works there has a smile on their faces (I can hear it in their voices behind the masks!) and is always willing to lend you a hand in moving trash, letting you know when something isn’t actually recyclable (guilty!) and always with a friendly, “Hey, how are you doing today?”

Props to them all, and I’d like to say to them, please keep up your good and important work with a (hidden) smile on your faces and a cheerful greeting! Great job!
