Foxcroft X-C teams sweep at Central

CORINTH — The Foxcroft Academy boys and girls cross country teams both won the squads’ second meet of the young season to remain undefeated on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Central High School.

 

The Pony girls scored 19 points to best Schenck High School of East Millinocket’s 36 points. Dexter Regional High School and host Central both had no score.

 

Foxcroft’s Annie Raynes covered the 2.75 miles in a time of 21 minutes, 37 seconds to finish in first place by 29 seconds.

In the boys’ meet, Foxcroft ended the day with 31 points, 11 ahead of Lee Academy’s 42. Dexter came in third with a score of 74 points and Central placed fourth with 80 points.

 

Joseph Keenan of Foxcroft ran a time of 16:51.61 to finish in first place by more than 54 seconds.
