FIND THE WHOOPIE PIE WINNER -- Allison Smith of Dover-Foxcroft is grand prize winner in the Piscataquis Observer’s annual Find the Whoopie Pie Contest. Smith was chosen from a pool of 10 weekly winners in which entrants successfully located a whoopie pie hidden in one of that week’s advertisements. Smith won a basket of goodies filled with prizes representing a $250 value. The weekly winners received a pair of passes and tokens for the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival, rescheduled from late June to Saturday, Oct. 3 in downtown Dover-Foxcroft.
