DOVER-FOXCROFT: Voices from HOME, a community-based oral history project coordinated by the Thompson Free Library, will host a live storytelling event on the theme “Together” at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 22. This event is free and open to the public, and will be held online via Zoom. Come together (but apart on Zoom) to share your 4-8 minute true story or listen to the stories of others. NAMI Maine will offer the National Alliance on Mental Illness signature course NAMI Basics online, via Zoom, free of charge. Classes begin Thursday, May 28 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and run for six consecutive weeks. Register online at namimaine.org. If you need assistance with registration using the website, call Director of Community Engagement Natalie Petrone at 1-800-464-5767, extension 2305. This class is available statewide.

DOVER-FOXCROFT: The Thompson Free Library will host Susan Pinette, professor of modern languages and literatures and director of Franco American programs at the University of Maine, live via Zoom at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 28. MILO: The Milo Garden Club is having its annual meeting at the Kiwanis Park outdoor overhang — no refreshments furnished and no bathroom facilities. A short meeting begins at 1 p.m.
