Torbett declares candidacy for county commissioner

ATKINSON — Andrew Torbett of Atkinson is formally announcing his intent to seek the Republican nomination to run for County Commissioner of Piscataquis County in District 2 — which includes the towns of Bowerbank, Dover-Foxcroft, Medford, Orneville Twp and Sebec in addition to Atkinson Township.

Having filed with the elections commission of the state of Maine, Torbett is taking the next step now to inform the residents of Piscataquis County that he will be seeking their support of his candidacy. He will be campaigning to fill the open seat left by retiring Commissioner Jim Annis, R-Dover-Foxcroft.
