
Grist Mill Museum closes for the season
DEXTER — The Grist Mill Museum in Dexter officially closed for the season on September 28 after 81 days being open this past summer and fall. The museum had 1,124 registered visitors over the season and is now open in October by appointment only. Anyone interested in seeing the Grist Mill, Miller’s House or Carr School buildings should stop at the Abbott Museum, 12 Church Street, or call 924-5721 to set up a time.
The Abbott Museum will remain open through the fall until Christmas, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Saturday. The Abbott Museum features seven rooms of local history display, a genealogy/research room, museum gift shop, information room with brochures on activities in the area, places to stay and things to do. Admission is free to all the museums.
