PCHS NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY — The Piscataquis Community High School National Honor Society induction was held June 3 in Guilford. FOXCROFT ACADEMY — Nineteen students were inducted into the Foxcroft Academy chapter of the National Honor Society for 2018-19. Juniors Enrico Ayala, Kylie Butts, Ethan Curtis, Megan Fuller, Mackenzie Harmon, Jacob Ireland, Clark LaChance, Phuong Khanh Le, Quynh Khanh Le and Jacob Raynes. Seniors Natali Barseghyan, Yeojeong Choi, Melina Gevorgyan, Quynh Nguyen, Mariah Poulin, Cailin Seavey, Matt Spooner, Kate Vu and Botai Zhou. The group joins seniors (inducted as juniors) Brigid Casey, Lauren Cooper, Nic Daneman, Abby Henderson, Keying “Chloe” Huang, Spencer Ireland and Hannah Poland.

PENQUIS VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL — Penquis Valley High School held its National Honor Society induction Feb. 26. New members are front, from left, Rachel McMannus, Emily Herbest, Salena Goodine, Kylee Trafton and Faith Sickler; and second row, Hope Grant, Destiny Golden, Zakary Mills and Megan Valvo. Members worked on a service project at the beginning of the year by taking photographs of the stones in the Brownville Cemetery for the Brownville Historical Society. Work is being completed to create a map and visual for visitors and guests to look over. The students have donated money to Penquis Valley’s Key Club Thirst Project. Members will be working on a flower garden in front of the high school. The last project is holding an evening of excellence as high school students will be recognized for their academic achievements with parents and pupils enjoying a turkey dinner and keynote speaker.
