Piscataquis County Extension Association annual meeting Nov. 7

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Piscataquis County Extension Association will hold its annual meeting from 5-7:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7 at Dover Foxcroft Congregational Church, 824 West Main Street, There will be a brief business meeting before supper, featuring pork loins from Farm in the Woods in Monson, served by DKB Catering of Greenville.

The evening program “What’s Killing My Plants?” will be presented by University of Maine Cooperative Extension assistant professor and plant pathologist Alicyn Smart and UMaine Extension ornamental horticulture specialist and assistant professor Matt Wallhead. Smart and Wallhead will discuss the types of samples received by their office, and what farmers and gardeners can do to help prevent plant diseases. Application has been made for one pesticide recertification credit.
