Broadband Caucus formed in Legislature

AUGUSTA — Rep. Norm Higgins, I-Dover-Foxcroft and Rep. Seth Berry, D-Bowdoinham have announced the establishment of a Broadband Caucus of members of the Legislature to promote the development of high speed Internet in Maine. The bipartisan caucus will provide information and updates on current local and statewide initiatives in preparation for the 128th Legislature.

The Broadband Caucus will support legislation to expand access throughout the state. The availability of high speed Internet is the key to job creation in a digital economy and critical in developing telemedicine. The caucus will engage with the new governor and legislative leaders in creating a comprehensive plan for the state of Maine.
