
Foxcroft Academy announces 2018 valedictorian and salutatorian
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Foxcroft Academy is pleased to announce the honor parts for this year’s graduating class, the 195th class in school history.
The valedictorian for the Class of 2018 is Jenna Clukey, the daughter of Jack and Debbie Clukey of Dover-Foxcroft.
Clukey has been involved at Foxcroft Academy as president of Key Club, Student Council, and senior class president. She has also been a member of National Honor Society, Latin Club, Civil Rights Team, and Prom Committee. She was a Rose Award recipient in May. Clukey was captain of the girls soccer team, swim team, and softball team. Earlier this year, she received the MPA Principal’s Award. Clukey will further her education at Bowdoin College in the fall and she will major in Government and Legal Studies.
The salutatorian for the Class of 2018 is Avery Nelson, the daughter of Jeff and Leslie Nelson of Dover-Foxcroft.
Nelson has been involved at Foxcroft as vice president of Key Club, and a member of National Honor Society and Student Council. She was also a Rose Award recipient in May. Nelson has been been a three-season athlete all four years as a Pony, playing soccer, basketball, track and field, and this year trying her hand at tennis. Nelson plans on attending Maine Maritime Academy in the fall majoring in International Business and Logistics. She will be playing on the Mariners women’s soccer team.
Graduation exercises are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 10 at Foxcroft Academy. Baccalaureate will be at noon on the same day.
