Dexter library book club celebrates 10th anniversary

DEXTER — Fourteen members of the Abbott Memorial Library’s Book Club met on April 25 to celebrate the club’s 10th anniversary. An anniversary dinner was served featuring foods of the 1950s, members had just completed reading David Halberstam’s ”The Fifties.”

Some of the favorite foods of the 1950s that were served included Spam sandwiches, Swedish meatballs, corned beef hash, deviled eggs and tuna noodle casserole. Club members declared the food “pretty good eating!”
