PCSS honor parts
GUILFORD — The Piscataquis Community Secondary School (PCSS) proudly announces Bailey Woodard as the Class of 2017 Valedictorian.
Woodard is the daughter of Elizabeth and Robbie Woodard of Parkman. While attending PCSS, Woodard was an active member of many clubs and extracurriculars including National Technical Honor Society, Key Club, Pirate Volunteer Club, Math Team, Civil Rights Team, field hockey and manager of the softball team. She also served as the president of Student Council and treasurer of the National Honor Society as well as volunteering at the Parkman Grange. Woodard was enrolled in the health occupations program at Tri-County Technical Center, obtaining her CNA license, and also participated in the SkillsUSA Competition in job interview and nurse assisting where she received a bronze medal in nurse assisting locally and a bronze medal in job interview statewide.
Woodard will be attending the University of Maine Honors College, majoring in biology/pre-med.
Morgan Hutchins is the Class of 2007 Salutatorian. She is the daughter of Sam and Rachel Hutchins of Parkman.
While attending PCSS, Hutchins was an active member in Key Club, Civil Rights Team, Prom Committee, Pirate Volunteer Club and National Honor Society. She was a varsity tennis player for three years as well as captain and a varsity field hockey for four years as well as captain.
Hutchins will be attending Thomas College with a double major in psychology and business.
