Dexter Regional High School announces valedictorian and salutatorian

DEXTER — Dexter Regional High School Principal Stephen Bell is proud to announce the valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2017.

Valedictorian is William Strauch, the son of Patrick and Nancy Strauch of Exeter. Strauch is planning to attend Yale University in New Haven, Conn., his major is undecided.

While in high school Strauch has been involved in numerous activities including cross-country, soccer, basketball, tennis, golf, track, musical (lead for two years), Key Club, Student Council (serving as vice president), band, chorus, jazz band, ensemble, nominated for Dirigo Boys State, math team, Global Discussions, Charter, Seeds of Peace and National Honor Society (serving as president).

Salutatorian is Ashley Reynolds, the daughter of Frances and Melissa Reynolds of Dexter. Reynolds is planning to attend the University of Maine, majoring in biology.

While in high school Reynolds has been involved in a large number of co-curricular activities including soccer, basketball, softball, track, tennis, National Honor Society, Student Council (serving as secretary for two years), Key Club (serving as secretary for one year), Global Discussions, Charter, World Language Club, math team and nominated for Dirigo Girls State.
