Chief Reardon begins duties with Dover-Foxcroft Police Department

TAKING THE OATH OF OFFICE — Chief of Police Ryan Reardon began his duties with the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department on Monday, May 1 upon taking the oath of office administered by Town Clerk Lisa Niles at the Morton Avenue Municipal Building. Ryan was formerly chief deputy and interim sheriff for Kennebec County before joining the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department. Reardon takes the helm from retiring Chief Dennis Dyer, a 42-year veteran of the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department and chief of police in Dover-Foxcroft for the past 32 years. Dyer and Reardon will work together during a transition period through May 12. Ryan was hired at a starting salary of $59,900.
