Key Club members working to bring clean water to Africa
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Key Club Division 2 Lt. Gov. Crystal Macomber — who is a senior at Foxcroft Academy — and Jenna Clukey, key club president at Foxcroft Academy where she is a member of the junior class, spoke at a recent meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft.
After viewing a video illustrating the need for clean, healthy water in many parts of the world, Macomber and Clukey explained how the Division 2 Key Clubs are working to raise $12,000 to finance a well in the southern African country of Swaziland. The “Thirst Project” is an ambitious goal as they hope to have the entire amount raised by the end of March.
These enthusiastic Key Club leaders exemplify the passion and energy of Kiwanis Service Leadership Program members around the world and with the help of other concerned community members, they will be successful.
