William D. Krug, 93, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. He was born on October 16, 1922 in Manchester, NH, he was the only child of David and Marion Krug.
He attended the University of Maine before enlisting in the Army where he served in the Signal Corps from 1942 to 1945. An auto insurance claims adjuster in northern New England, he worked first in the field then as a supervisor. A passionate fisherman, Bill was happiest in his boat with a rod in his hand.
A devoted husband and father, Bill is survived by Jacquelyn (Leighton), his wife of 70 years, his son David and daughter-in-law Karen; granddaughters Amy Richard and Lori Ventimiglia; great-grandchildren Olivia and Owen Richard, Preston and Blake Ventimiglia.
Visiting hours will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Sunday, August 14th at the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St, Caribou. There will be a private graveside service for the family.
