MADAWASKA – John J. “Archie” Levesque, 56, passed away on August 1, 2016. He was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick on November 15, 1959, son of the late Archie and Odette (Cyr) Levesque.
Archie was a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1635 of Van Buren and a member of the Son of a legionnaire. He was a wonderful husband and a best friend to his wife Lisa, who were inseparable. A caring man who would go out of his way to help someone. Always having a smile on his face, he loved making people laugh. In the thirteen years he spent in Phoenix, Archie really enjoyed travelling with Lisa. He enjoyed riding motocross, and eventually graduating to Harley in is older years. Archie truly enjoyed his once a year fishing vacation in Quebec with his brother-in-law, Ron.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years, Lisa (Ouellette) Levesque of Madawaska; two sisters, Gloria Martin and her husband, Phil of Madawaska, Lola Fongemie of Frenchville; two brothers, Eldon Levesque and his wife, Della of Phoenix, AZ, Phil Levesque and his wife, Judy of Frenchville; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Pat Fongemie and her husband, James and a nephew, Bryce Levesque.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Monday, August 8, 2016, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 5-8pm on Sunday, August 7. There will be no visiting hours the morning of the funeral.
