ASVAB testing offered in Dover-Foxcroft

Guilford Christian Academy will be hosting an ASVAB testing on Monday, April 11 from 3-6 pm. All students are welcome to participate in this Career Exploration Program Aptitude Test. Test location will be 64 E. Main St. Suite A1 in Dover Foxcroft.

Guilford Christian Academy has been collaborating with local public schools for several years now to offer this testing twice annually.

ASVAB used to be used for the military but now many homeschoolers are using it to expose their students to testing and to see where their strengths are in regards to a career path. The results do not have to be sent to a recruiter.

There is no cost to take the ASVAB, students may arrive on their own or be dropped off and picked up. The age range to take the test is freshman in high school up to age 21.

There will be a follow up workshop that is scheduled for sometime at the end of April. Jennifer Kennedy will come up from Portland to go over the results of the test and to explain the scores that your student has, what their career possibilities are and to answer any questions. It is highly recommended for at least one parent to sit in on this one.

Guilford Christian Academy has worked with many home educating families over the years in helping their students get into the military branch they desire as well as into the college of their choice. They enjoy helping families record the work they have done and see them reach their goals.
