HANSON, Jean, 92, Dover-Foxcroft, November 8, 2015. A graveside service will be held on November 22, 2015, at 1 p.m., Gray Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.

PO JeanHansonOBDOVER-FOXCROFT – Jean Stubbs Hanson passed away peacefully at Hibbard’s Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft on November 8, 2015, at the age of 92. Born in Dover-Foxcroft, Jean graduated from Brownville Jct. High School and soon after, married the love of her life, Arthur L. Hanson, who died in 2000. Jean dedicated herself to her family and spent many happy hours with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, both at home and the special camp at Sebec Lake. She was a terrific homemaker, master of all crossword puzzles, and took enormous pride in the accomplishments of her adored family.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Lewis and Josephine Stubbs; sisters, Dorothy Dearborn, Katherine Perkins, Marjorie Smith, Leone Dearborn, Verna Wilson, and Carol Patterson; and grand- son, Leif Weaver.

She was the beloved mother of Sharon Young of Monmouth, Arthur “Skip” Hanson (Peg) of Biddeford, Rhonda Weaver (Lloyd) of Harpswell, and Tim Hanson (Janet) of Rye, NH; a devoted grandmother of Michelle Rowley of Monmouth, Renee Madore (Mike) of Winthrop, Randy Langley (Julie) of Monmouth, Todd Hanson (Sue) of Brunswick, Chad Hanson (Joy) of Trussville, AL, Craig Weaver (Zoe) of Portland and Leif Weaver’s wife, Becky Weaver, of Brooks. She was a loving great –grandmother of Nicholas Rowley (Mary) of Fayette, Kara Rowley of Portland, Elizabeth Kenney of Nicole Price of Logan, OH, Ben Langley of Monmouth, Jason Langley of Corinna, Jessie Musie of Portland, Thomas and Kyle Hanson of Brunswick, Reagan and Riley Hanson of Trussville, AL, Isaac and Asa Weaver of Portland, and Brett Hanson of Hoboken, NJ, Erik Hanson of Old Orchard Beach and Luke Hanson of Spokane, WA.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the love and care provided by the staff of Hibbard’s Nursing Home, and the love and devotion of Sharon Emery, for her many hours of friendship and companionship with Jean.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Jean’s memory to Foxcroft Academy, 975 W Main Street, Dover-Foxcroft 04426. A graveside service will be held on November 22, 2015, at 1 p.m., Gray Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
