Senior Network luncheon Oct. 1

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Senior Network will be hosting its annual fall potluck luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 1 at the Community Room in the Morton Avenue Municipal Building from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All area seniors are invited to attend and learn more about the Senior Network lunch opportunities and their educational and social programs. Seniors are invited to bring something for the potluck table and get to know perhaps some new people or re-kindle old friendships.

Senior Network is an entirely volunteer program that was started more than six years ago by Community First. It always welcomes both new members and volunteers, and everyone “pitches in” to make the lunches successful. On Mondays, the Community Cafe is offered through partnership with the Eastern Area Agency on Aging. On Thursdays, the potluck luncheon is the fare of the day — always surprises, shared favorite recipes, great conversation and often, a speaker. There are games, iPads, Bingo and lots of laughs and shared stories as well.

Patti Dowse will be the guest speaker after the luncheon, talking about the Window Dressers program in Piscataquis County. Come and learn about this important new program! Window Dressers may be something that you are interested in, or know someone who would benefit.

Guests can enter through multiple doors at the municipal building or come to the rear of the building and use the back door to the Community Room. Any questions, please call 564-8245 and talk with Sue.
