Police issue reminder about fireworks rules

DOVER-FOXCROFT — With the Fourth of July celebrations approaching, the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department would like remind citizens and visitors about the new fireworks ordinance. This ordinance was passed by voters in 2014 and is intended to keep everyone safe without injury or disruption.

The ordinance states, “No person shall use, display, possess with intent to use or display, sell, possess with the intent to sell, or offer for sale consumer or commercial fireworks in the town of Dover-Foxcroft.” A link to the full ordinance can be found on the Dover-Foxcroft Police Facebook page.
