Artist’s work chosen for holiday card
DOVER-FOXCROFT — Miranda is a bird lover. She has been painting since she was 13 and has this to say about painting, “It makes me feel good inside.” She participates in watercolor art classes weekly through the Charlotte White Center and her paintings have been featured in a variety of local art venues, such as local banks, libraries, in an annual art calendar, the annual “Lest We Forget” exhibit at the Hall of Flags at the Statehouse, the Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine’s Gallery and at annual art shows that occur during local festivals.

HOLIDAY GREETINGS ACROSS THE NATION — Charlotte White Center watercolor art class painter Miranda had her “Cardinal” selected for the American Network of Community Options and Resources annual holiday card, which was sent out across the country.
Last holiday season, Miranda’s “Cardinal” was chosen from a pool of national artists as the image on the American Network of Community Options and Resources’ annual holiday card that is sent nationwide. Miranda had this to say when she discovered her artwork had been chosen, “I liked taking my time doing this art piece and really enjoyed it. I feel very proud of being famous. It makes me feel great inside to be painting and also when I sell something. My name is Miranda and I have been painting for quite some time and I’m proud of it!”
Her art instructors at the Charlotte White Center consider her to be a joy in class and they are impressed by her talent. An instructor was quoted recently saying, “Miranda sets a great example for her peers! She always has a positive, can-do attitude no matter what challenges each art project may present.
