Calling all veterans

By Angela Stutzman Ayala
U.S. Army veteran

I am a local Army veteran and a veteran of foreign wars. I have been slack in my responsibilities to my fellow service members and veterans. I am encouraging those that are currently serving, or are a veteran living in or around the Dover-Foxcroft area, to please consider joining American Legion Post 29, Dover Foxcroft. Numbers are down and we should all be thinking about doing our part in continuing the amazing services this organization provides.

The American Legion is dedicated to improving support for active duty service members and veterans during their time of transition and rehabilitation and will continue to provide members with volunteer opportunities. American Legion Post 29 holds regular meetings the second Monday of every month with dinner at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting immediately after. The meetings take place at the American Legion Hall on 121 Park Street (just past the PRYMCA) Dover-Foxcroft. Meetings are held September through May. They host Bingo every Thursday night.
I look forward to seeing you all there.
