NOT QUITE THE CATCH OF THE DAY — Troy Lambert of Mt. Vernon holds the salmon he caught on Feb. 14 as part of the 2015 Schoodic Lake Fishing Derby, after Ricky Bradeen of the Milo Fire Department weighed and measured the fish. The catch weighed in at 3.8 pounds and was 22 inches long, a good-sized fish but not quite large enough for a prize. Lambert said he comes to the derby most years. Events officials said it was a smaller crowd than usual, attributing this to both the extreme cold and the blizzard forecast for Sunday.
