Boss smart technology: Brains plus brawn

Boss snowplows set the bar when they created their groundbreaking and comprehensive technology system to make snowplowing fast, easy and efficient. From a revolutionary hitch system and intuitive controls to high-performance headlights that maximize light output, Boss brings everything you need together into a single, standard-issue package that’s anything but standard.

Snow catcher

A patented and proven snow catcher in the center section of the cutting edge of every Boss V-Plow is specifically designed to catch snow at the plow’s pivot point — so no snow lines are left behind (V-Plows only)

Enclosed chainless
hydraulic cylinder lift system

Boss is one of the only manufacturers to use a chainless, hydraulic lift system which greatly reduces snowplow bounce during transport and provides full float capabilities.

Advanced cutting
edges/base angles

Boss has developed a range of tough, long lasting cutting edges to handle the wear and tear of plowing – and all V-Plow cutting edges are made using Hardox® wear plate for extended wear resistance. V-blade cutting edges also feature a unique curb guard, protecting the cutting edge and the side of the blade from side impacts. The DXT comes standard with Hardox® base angle which serves as the cutting edge until worn to the appropriate height for cutting edge installation.

Tripping technology

Only Boss offers three different types of snowplow tripping technology including trip-edge, full moldboard and dual-trip, all of which deliver impact protection when striking hidden obstacles.

Diagonal cross-bracing

All Boss snowplows use diagonal cross-bracing to reinforce the outside edges of the plow blade, which reduces twisting while increasing blade strength and rigidity.

Universal undercarriage

Whether you have two plows or an entire fleet, Boss universal undercarriages ensure that you can quickly and easily switch Boss plows from truck-to-truck (excludes Sport-Duty and 10-foot plows).
