Plum Creek donates to local food banks

FAIRFIELD — Plum Creek has partnered with several local organizations to help make the holidays a little brighter.
The Plum Creek Foundation recently donated $14,750 to Maine food pantries to help provide food for those in need.

“The holidays are a wonderful time of year for most, but for some in our community, they are a reminder of daily struggles just to put food on the table,” said Belinda Roberts of the Moosehead Associates Food Cupboard, which received a $3,000 foundation donation. “Providing food to our community members is a simple way to help ease their burden this holiday season.”
In addition to the Moosehead Associates Food Cupboard, located in the Union Evangelical Church, the following organizations in the Plum Creek service areas also received donations:
    Economic Partnership Food Pantry (Guilford-Greenville)
Living Word Community Food Cupboard (Dover-Foxcroft)
The Conservative Baptist Association of New England, Inc. (Dexter)
    Bingham Area Food Pantry
    Greater Waterville Area Food Bank
    Skowhegan Community Food Cupboard
    St. John’s Food Pantry (Waterville)
    Town of Eustis
    Town of Jackman
    United Methodist Church (Oakland)
    United Methodist Economic Ministry (Solon).
