Bellatty completes basic training

    U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Drew T. Bellatty graduated from basic  training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas.

    The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
    Bellatty is the son of Dean E. Bellatty of Brownville Jct.  and Terry A. McEwen of Lincoln. He is a 2009 graduate of Penquis Valley High School and earned an associate’s in 2012 from Eastern Maine Community College.
