Local Letters to the Editor
Center Theater a local gem
To the Editor:
My wife and I just came home from a wonderful afternoon at the Center Theater. They had a great piano accompaniment for Buster Keaton’s 1927 “The General.” For a couple of hours we could slip back to a much simpler, more joyful time.
Thank you Center Theater for doing this and so many other things for our community. I will be sure to renew my membership.

Prioritize people over animals
To the Editor:
There is something wrong with the way some people think.
For example, some worry more about how animals are hunted and killed by man.
They should look at what happens when a coyote kills a deer. The coyote doesn’t care how the deer is suffering; they just care about eating.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and the Humane Society of the United States have so much time and money that they should look at how they can help find a way to stop domestic violence and the countless women and children being sexually assaulted each year.
They have to live with this for the rest of their lives.
