Sangerville selectmen breaking the law

To the Editor;
    Here is a copy of a letter I presented to the Sangerville Board of Selectmen and residents of the community.
    I have presented you with a packet with about 20 facts on it and a copy of Maine Revised Statute Title 17A Chapter 19 section 456 “Tampering with Public Records or Information,” and I do this for the purpose of trying to stop you (the Sangerville Board Selectman) from committing a crime.
    It is my opinion that you people are going way too far discussing matters in executive session that should have been discussed in open session; discussing matters in open session that were discussed in executive session; trying to falsify the last three minutes of a meeting after an executive session of Sept. 9; trying to add discussions that were said in executive session of Sept. 9 to the meeting minutes; and adding motions that were never made to the meeting minutes of the Sept. 9 board meeting.

    And you expect us to believe all this happened in just the last three minutes of the meeting after the executive session, just to make it look good while trying to cover your butts for doing shady business on the search committee.
    The motion to amend the Sept. 9 minutes, by the way, passed with Selectmen Melissa Randall and William Rowe voting “yes” and Tom Carone abstaining.
    Everything I have stated is backed up by documents, videotape and statements made from board members.
    I also want to point out the deal-making between Selectmen Melissa Randall and William Rowe about the makeup of the search committee for a town manager selection process in a private meeting between the two of them before the Sept. 25 board meeting. This was verbally made public by a board member.
    In the light of everything that has happened in the last two meetings, I sincerely and respectfully asked William Rowe to return the board chairmanship back to Tom Carone, effective immediately. He declined to do so at the Oct. 7 meeting.
    And I sincerely and respectfully asked Melissa Randall to step down from the board effective immediately, and rescind the amendment that was made at the Sept. 25 board meeting to change part of the Sept. 9 meeting minutes. At the Oct. 7 meeting, no action was taken on this matter.
    Please let your concerns be known at the Oct. 23 Board of Selectmen’s meeting.
