    PO-CarolRipleyOBDOVER-FOXCROFT – Carol E. Ripley, 78, died October 8, 2014, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born July 22, 1936, in New Haven, CT, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Crowther) Krebs.
    She grew up in New Haven, CT, and moved to Maine in 1981. Carol was an active member of the United Baptist Church in Dover-Foxcroft, where she also served as deaconess. Her church family was very important to her.
    Carol started a craft business, “Carol’s Country Crafts”. She received many awards for her crafts and was a mentor to many in the crafting business. She was the best wife and mom that anyone could ask for.
    She was predeceased by her parents; two sons, David and Daniel Ripley; four brothers, Carlton, John, Ken and Wesley; and a sister, Pearl.
    She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert L. Ripley of Dover-Foxcroft; three daughters, Joy Lynne Foss and her husband, Darrell of Burnham, Jennifer Anne Dockinham and her husband, Joel of Lebanon, and Christine Davis and her husband, Jason of Sangerville; two sisters, Delores Macy, and Mildred Coady both of CT; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the United Baptist Church, 146 E. Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the United Baptist Church in Dover-Foxcroft. Cremation arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford.
