Teen Science Cafe for ME! is starting up again for the fall

DOVER-FOXCROFT — On Thursday, Sept. 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Thompson Free Library, Mike Watson, amateur (but very knowledgeable) astronomer, will be presenting “Astronomy of New Planets and the Goldilocks Zone”. There will be a free meal, hands-on activities and a great presentation. Teens from all surrounding communities are the target audience, but all ages are welcome to attend.

In addition, the Thompson Free Library is working with Teen Science Cafe for ME! to host a follow-up Star Party at Peaks-Kenny State Park on Friday, Sept. 26, starting at 6 p.m. There will be telescopes on hand (including one you can check out of the library) or bring your own.
Astronomers will also be there to answer questions and help you navigate the night sky. Admission to the park is free for attendees.
Teen Science Cafe for Me! is a program of The STEM Guides Project of Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance and is supported by a National Science Foundation Grant.
Don’t forget to check out the STEM Guides page and “Like” them on Facebook.
