CHCS receives high marks from Medicare
Community Health and Counseling Services’ (CHCS) Home Health Services recently had two unannounced in-depth Medicare surveys in June and July and is proud to announce that both were commended as “deficiency-free”. This means CHCS met all the interests of the individuals who receive care and services and met an additional requirement for efficient and effective operation of both its home health and hospice programs.
CHCS works diligently to protect and promote patient rights in its care. The electronic medical record utilized by staff assists in this process. The surveyors commented on the clarity and completeness of patient records and highlighted staff excellence in clinical documentation.
Health Services Director Helen Burlock commented that “these deficiency free surveys mean that CHCS’s Health Services Department has met both state and federal health care quality standards to the highest possible degree.”
CHCS salutes its compassionate and professional team of nurses, therapists, social workers, home care aides, and the dedicated administrative staff who provide leadership, education and commitment to the agency. For more information call 1-800-924-0366.
