DEXTER — The Dexter Community Playground Committee is busy planning its 2nd annual Family Fun Day at Crosby Park on Saturday, Sept. 13th from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Rain date will be Sunday, Sept. 14 at the same time.
There will be old fashioned games, food, and vendors/crafters. Pumpkin painting and glitter tattoos will be available again this year along with face painting.

The Dexter Fire Department will join in the fun to demonstrate one of their fire trucks and the Dunkin’ Donuts van will be there with their mascot, Cuppy, and a prize wheel. For the adults, there will be a silent auction and raffle featuring lots of wonderful things to bid on such as craft items, Thirty-One bags, Tastefully Simple and loads of baskets filled with gift certificates and other goodies. Admission is free, but there will be a nominal fee for the games and some activities.
Last year’s event earned a $3,100 profit to go toward the continued efforts of completing the playground.
If anyone would like to be a sponsor or a vendor/crafter for this year’s event, please contact Beth Wintle at 924-3564. The committee also needs volunteers to help make this day a success.
All children and their families are invited to join in the fun and help the Playground Committee continue raise money to build the remainder of the Crosby Park playground.
