American Flag ColorPO-FloydStevensOBDOVER-FOXCROFT – Floyd P. Stevens, 86, passed away unexpectedly August 10, 2014, at a Bangor hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born February 16, 1928, in Lincoln, to Perl and Olive (Chambers) Stevens. He was raised in Dover-Foxcroft and graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1947.
    Floyd served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by the A & P in Dover-Foxcroft for 35 years, retiring as assistant manager.
    In addition to his parents and all his siblings, he was predeceased by his “sweet darlin”, Janice in April, 2012.
    He is survived by their daughter, Linda Brown and her husband, Mark, of Hampden; their two sons, Jeffery of Dover-Foxcroft, and Peter and his fiancée, Jen Dow, of Dover-Foxcroft. He also leaves behind his daughter, Brenda Turcotte and her husband, Joe, of Portland. Papa will be sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
    At his request, there will be no services. Those who wish may contribute in Floyd’s memory to the American Heart Association, 51 U.S. Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04074.
