A QUICK TROT

Three entrants took part in the Piscataquis Regional YMCA’s Pony Trot 1K on the morning of Aug. 2 in Dover-Foxcroft.

The young runners were, from left, Iris Stutzman, Ayla Stuzman and Emma Finch, who ran with their respective aunt and mother Jennifer Michaud Finch and PRYMCA Program Director Chris Wesley. Iris Stutzman won in a time of 3 minutes, 36 seconds, Emma Finch was second at 4:04 and in third place was Ayla Stutzman in 4:09.

    ALL IN THE FAMILY — Two sisters and their cousin swept the top three honors in the PRYMCA’s Pony Trot 1K on Saturday morning with Iris Stutzman, right, coming in first, Emma Finch, center, placing second and Ayla Stutzman finishing third. The three are the respective daughters of Tracy Michaud Stutzman and Jennifer Michaud Finch, both Foxcroft Academy graduates who soon after the race for younger runners took part in Foxcroft Academy’s annual Pony Pride 5K. The five are the respective granddaughters and daughters of David and Rheba Michaud of Dover-Foxcroft.
