Volunteers needed to help with Homecoming duties

To the Editor;
    Please consider helping the Homecoming Committee with road blocking the parade route. The police do the major intersections and more … what is left, we need to cover. Bring a friend, consider meeting friends in a new place: a ring-side seat for the parade!

    Here’s how it works. Gather on one of the assigned spots. At the designated time you will be asked to “shut ‘er down” and then sit back and enjoy the show. When it’s safe (it varies by spots) we open the side streets back up and let the traffic flow. Please call Sheila Bragg, 564-3318 ext. 1021, or me, 717-6473, and we will assign you a street end.
    If you can’t do the road guard thing, Sheila can ask you the right questions to see where you can be put to good use for this event, and other events we do all year long.
    Thanks for reading this, please help us. (There! You just read a letter to editor without any crabbing or name calling!)
