Grange events for the month of June

    Thursday, June 5, Piscataquis Pomona Grange meets for the annual election of officers. All area Grange members are invited to a potluck supper at 6 p.m. and meeting at 7. This month’s meeting is hosted by the South Sangerville Grange, located off Silvers Mills Road in Sangerville. Call Bill Bemis at 924-3537 for more information.

    Friday, June 13, Garland Grange offers a chicken pie public supper from 5-7 p.m. Menu includes chicken pie, potato, gravy, vegetables, homemade bread and desserts. Proceeds to benefit Garland Grange. For more about the supper call 924-6954. The Garland Grange Hall is located on the Oliver Hill Road.
    June 13, the Garland Grange hosts a Family Contra Dance from 7-9 p.m. with great music and family fun. You don’t need to know how to dance, we will teach you. Caller is John McIntire and music by Some Reel People. For more regarding the dance, call 924-3925 or 277-3961.
    Saturday, June 14, the Wayside Grange offers a roast pork supper with all the trimmings at 5 p.m.  For more information call 924-5711. The Wayside Grange is located at 851 North Dexter Road (Route 23) in Dexter.
    On Saturday, June 14 the East Sangerville Grange, South Sangerville Grange and Parkman Grange will participate in the Sangerville Bicentennial Parade starting 10 a.m. For more information contact a participating Grange or visit http://sangervillemaine.org.
    Friday, June 20 Valley Grange meets at 6 p.m. for a potluck supper followed by a regular meeting and election of officers at 7.     Saturday, June 28 Guitarist Denny Breau performs at the Wayside Grange/Theatre on at 7 p.m.  Breau’s rhythmically flawless and dazzlingly clear style allows him to do amazing and stunning folk, Delta blues, country and jazz with a six-string guitar.
