Hazel E. (Pratt) Farnham

    GUILFORD – Hazel E. (Pratt) Farnham, 84, died expectedly May 2, 2014, at her home in Guilford. She was born in Garland, June 24, 1929, the daughter of Fred and Goldie (Skillin) Pratt.
    In her younger years, Hazel worked as a telephone operator in Dover-Foxcroft. In 1952, she married Keith Farnham, who predeceased her in 1983. For many years Hazel and Keith owned and operated Guilford Hardware.
    She is survived by two sons, Brian of Venice, FL, and James and his wife, Valerie of Derry, NH; a daughter and her husband, Ellen and Charles Blanchard of Readfield; grandchildren, Laurie Morrison, Louie Morrison, Whitney Farnham, Jason Blanchard and Adam Blanchard, who spent a great deal of time caring for and helping Hazel; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Roland and Arthur Pratt; and a sister, Pauline Campbell.
    At her request, there will be no public services. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
