Senior Garden work session May 3
DEXTER — Dexter’s Senior Garden begins its second season on Saturday, May 3 at 8 a.m. with a work day. Located at the Sherburne Farm, this large vegetable garden is planned, maintained, harvested, bagged and delivered to area seniors by volunteers. At the peak of the 2013 summer season 136 bags of produce were available. Any senior is welcome to receive the veggies; there are no restrictions, qualifications, paperwork.
Volunteers are needed for the May 3 work day which will be followed at noon with a potluck planting dinner — location to be announced. For more information contact info@ddatt.org or 277-4221.
