Thursday, May 1 Piscataquis Pomona Grange will meet at the Garland Grange on the Oliver Hill Road. Potluck supper at 6 p.m., meeting begins at 7. Contact Bill Bemis at 924-3537 for more information.
Friday, May 2 Valley Grange members meet for a business meeting at 7 p.m. — primary purpose of the meeting is to finalize plans for Community Night. We’ll also be putting the finishing touches on our newly painted dining hall. For more information contact Jim Annis at 564-0820.
Saturday, May 3 Valley Grange hosts the May meeting of the DUV. The public is invited to join at 2:30 p.m. for a demonstration of proper flag folding and the significance of each fold. Sunday, May 4 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. is the Maine Highlands MOFGA Chapter celebration and kickoff at the East Sangerville Grange. Come by to help celebrate the official start of the Maine Highlands MOFGA chapter. This is a free event and open to all — you do not have to be a MOFGA member to attend, We’ll share potluck nibbles and snacks, ideas about possible chapter activities and maybe some seeds if you’ve got some you’d like to swap. Bring your family, bring a friend. The Grange is located on East Sangerville Road.
Friday, May 9 Garland Grange hosts the first public supper of the season from 5-7 p.m. The menu is baked beans, macaroni/cheese and ham. Benefits go to Garland Grange Building Projects. For more information, call 924-6954.

Friday, May 16 is community night at Valley Grange. Every year we select an individual who we feel has made outstanding contributions to our community. We’ve always succeeded in totally surprising the recipient—let the tradition continue. Join us for a community potluck supper at 6 p.m.—bring a dish to share if you can but it’s not required.
