Bonnie Lee (Thompson) Brawn
DOVER-FOXCROFT – Bonnie Lee (Thompson) Brawn passed away April 12, 2014, from cancer with her loving family by her side. Bonnie was born in Guilford on December 7, 1950, daughter of Shirley Judkins and Willis Tucker and she attended the Guilford schools. Bonnie had been married to Albert “Bert” Brawn and Gary Gould. Both were predeceased, as well as her mother and father.
Bonnie was best known since 1999 as a school bus driver for Rowell’s Garage in Dover-Foxcroft. She loved the kids and driving so the job was a perfect fit for her. She would come back to the bus garage with some cute story of something a child did or said to her that day. Some of her favorite times were driving her grandsons and their teammates to their football and basketball games. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Bonnie didn’t have a lot of hobbies, but she did love to travel. Some of her favorite trips were to Branson, MO, Nashville, seeing Elvis’ home in Memphis TN, Florida, and visiting the tomb of the unknown soldier and Jackie Kennedy’s grave in Washington, D.C.
Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Melissa Gould and husband, Derek; Kristi Gould; two sons, Billy Knowles and wife, Josie, Gary Gould and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Jason, Kyle, Daytona and MacKenzie Gould, Brea Bentley, Harley Knowles, Samantha Tozier and Liam Gould; six brothers and three sisters; her “second mother”, Priscilla Tucker; two sisters-in-law, Jenny Chase and Angie Brawn; and a brother-in-law, Fred Brawn and his wife, Nina; her best friend since childhood, Roxanne Springer; two special cousins, Jeff London and Brenda Larson; and a very special man in her life who cared for her to the end, Walter Kimball.
Memorial services in Dover-Foxcroft at Thayer Parkway in the community building from 3-5 p.m., April 27, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bonnie’s memory can be made to Cancer Care of Maine.
