Upcoming April Grange events
Piscataquis Pomona meets on Thursday, April 3 at the Parkman Grange — located at the four corners. A potluck supper will be at 6 p.m. and meeting at 7. All area Granges are invited to participate. For more information, contact Bill Bemis at 924-3537.
The Garland Grange has postponed the supper originally scheduled for April 9 due to frozen water pipe issues. The first supper of the season will be held on Friday, May 9 from 5-7 p.m. at the Grange Hall on Oliver Hill Road. May traditionally has been the first baked bean supper, but other dishes such as macaroni and cheese and baked ham are served. Takeout is also available.
The East Sangerville Grange hosts “Cultivating Community” a program about mapping the Maine Highlands Food System on Saturday, April 12. Those who grow, distribute or eat local food are encouraged to attend this day- long program, starting with registration at 8 a.m. The program will include lunch and end at 4 p.m. For more information email eastsangervillegrange@gmail.com or visit http://www.grange.org/eastsangervilleME177. Valley Grange meets on Friday, April 18 with a potluck supper at 6 p.m. and Grange Month program at 7 — all are welcomed.
