LOCAL SPORTS HISTORY — The Foxcroft Academy girls became the first of the area’s high school teams to play a tournament game at the new Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, and the Ponies also had the first such victory with a 33-25 win against Waterville on Feb. 15. Fifth-seeded Foxcroft moved on to face No. 1 Presque Isle in a semifinal, scheduled for the evening of Feb. 19. Leading the way in the postgame line is senior Mackenzie Coiley with junior Brianna Skolfield right behind. For story and photos, please see page 7.
